Saw a black & white dog wandering down Livingston Street

Saw what appeared to be a hunting-breed dog (perhaps a pointer/spaniel) running along the edge of East Rock park on Moday, 12/6 at about 4:00 p.m. It was wearing a red collar, and looked confused (at one point, was standing in the middle of Livingston Street). Myself, and several other cars stopped. We watched as it ran into the park on the corner of Livingston and Cold Spring Street. I got out and looked for it, as did other people, but none of us could find it. I did leave a voice mail with the New Haven animal shelter, in case they picked it up. I hope it finds its way home.
