New Years Pitching & Hitting Skills Clinic Want to fine tune your pitching and hitting skills and bring in the New Year right, then this skills clinic is for YOU! Come work with two local softball players that have had the college experience at the Division I & Division III Level and have some FUN! Come work with Hailey Andrews. Andrews was a Top tier pitcher at Kennesaw University graduating in 2019. Andrews graduated with a degree in Integrated Studies. During her two seasons as an Owl, she led the ASUN with 216.0 innings pitched in a single season. She also led the conference and ranked 10th in the NCAA in strikeouts going into the 2019 post-season. Ranked 23rd in d1 NCAA at the conclusion of season. In the same year, she led the ASUN with 33 starts and 25 complete games pitched. She is ranked 5th All-Time in the Kennesaw State record books for single season strikeouts. Hailey Andrews spent her first two collegiate seasons at Indian River State College when she was an FCSAA All-State First Team Selection. She logged over 300 strikeouts and led IRSC to winning two Conference titles. Andrews is now in her first year as the Assistant Softball Coach At Augusta University. This Pitching Skills Camp will focus on the basic fundamentals of pitching. The goal is to work on the proper mechanics and explosiveness from the lower half of the body. Come work with Morgan Smith, a four-year starter on the four-time Rowan University NCAA Tournament softball team, and a recent graduate assistant coach at Eastern Mennonite University, has been named head softball coach at Richard Bland College of William & Mary. A native of Millsboro, Delaware, Graduating from Sussex Central in 2014. Smith was a First-Team NCAA Division III All-America selection at Rowan. She graduated as Rowan's all-time leader in career doubles (61) and walks (89), and holds single-season records for doubles (22) and RBI (62). A four-year starter, Smith finished her career with a .389 batting average, and helped led Rowan to the NCAA Division III Tournament each of her four seasons. In two of those seasons, Rowan advanced to the National Championship Series. In addition to her All-America status, Smith was an NFCA All-Region Team all four years, and earned All-Tournament Regional Teams selection four years. While at Rowan, Smith earned the Joy Solomen Leadership Award and was a Schutt Sports/NFCA Player of the Year Watchlist. Smith is a 2018 graduate of Rowan and earned her Bachelor of Science in General Studies with a minor in Education. She earned a Master's in Organizational Leadership from EMU. This hitting skills session is for those who are looking to fine-tune their hitting skills. This Instruction will focus on basic hitting fundamentals, emphasizing proper mechanics and drill progression. The focus is on the lower half of the body, working on using the power from the ground up. During the clinic the object is to work at a variety of stations to improve upon various aspects of hitting including hand-eye coordination, tee work, front toss, bunting and much more!
