Movie screening and discussion of Crash, 2006 Academy Award winner for Best Motion Picture of the year Join the Branson Beloved Community Circle for a two part series of events. First, the movie screening of Crash, the 2006 Academy Award winner for Best Motion Picture of the Year, will take place on Wednesday, January 5, 2022 at 5:30 pm at Branson. Light refreshments will be served at 5:30 pm in the Old Dining Hall followed by the movie at 6:00 pm in the Jewett Theater. Set in Los Angeles over the course of a day and a half, the stories of several individuals interweave, interconnect, and crash into one another as each grapples with matters of race, class, family, and gender. The following Wednesday, January 12, 2022 at 6 pm, Dr. JuanCarlos Arauz and special guest star faculty members will lead an engaging discussion on the movie, Crash, in the Library. Light refreshments will be served. Meet in the Jewett Theather to view clips of the film followed by a panel discussion in the Library.
