Discuss the basics of this calling that has roots in many cultures and begin connecting with the wisdom of the natural world for healing. Shamanism has roots in many cultures and is often associated with animism, belief/ perception of soul or spirit in plants, objects and natural phenomena, and the practitioners ability to travel between worlds and bring back information from the spirit realms for healing. This is a rather simplified description, but we are starting at the beginning here. If you feel drawn to shamanism, or rather it has called to you, I welcome you to this space for guidance and grounding on your path. I teach primarily from my own experience and with Celtic roots and influences. I encourage students to explore and trust their own intuition, experience, and evolving interpretation of truth. In this beginner class we discuss the personal transformation along this path, Animism and use of altered states of consciousness for receiving guidance and information, Importance of grounding and connecting with the natural world around us, and Experience a guided meditation to honor and connect with the local land.
