A community gathering led by and for BIPOC LGBTQ+ folk wanting to support one another in a safe, nonjudgmental environment.
The holiday season can be especially triggering for many people, but Black, Indigenous, People of Color (BIPOC) that are LGBTQ+ are more likely to experience stress, anxiety, and depression during this time of the year.
That is why we are partnering with We Matter Mental Health Services LLC. to provide a brave space for our Central Florida BIPOC LGBTQ+ community to fellowship over food, have a supportive conversation, and meditation as we collectively share the pain we experience during this time while replacing it with love and healthy ways to cope.
Those of all genders, ages, and disabilities as well as those of diverse neurological, racial, religious, and cultural backgrounds within the BIPOC LGBTQ+ community are welcomed to attend.
COVID-19 Policy/Procedure: Due to the recent increase in COVID-19 cases, the attendee size will be limited to allow physical distancing. All guests will be required to wear a mask at all times except for when drinking and/or eating.
Menu: Candied Sweet Potatoes, Corn Muffins, Green Beans, Jerk Chicken Wings, Mojo Baked Chicken, Lemon Cake, and Yellow Cake with Chocolate Frosting.
