WAUKESHA, WI — A girl, 8, returned home from the hospital after suffering two brain bleeds and a sprained ankle in the Waukesha Christmas parade, her GoFundMe page said Monday. Olivia Stover was performing with her Xtreme Dance Team in the parade when she was struck by an SUV last month. "We're officially home with our amazingly strong baby girl!" the GoFundMe said. "We've been itching to say those words for a few days now as Olivia has had a few nights of sleep in her own bed! We are completely over the moon excited to be home and are beginning to ease back into the routine of our normal lives." The GoFundMe was set up to help pay Stover's medical costs. As of Tuesday, it had raised $112,857. Patch reached out to her family Tuesday for comment. Darrell Brooks Jr., 39, was charged with six counts of first-degree intentional homicide in connection with the incident, court records showed. Brooks was accused of intentionally driving an SUV through crowds of people at the parade. Six people were killed, and more than 60 others were injured, including Stover. The family thanked everyone for support and asked for continuing prayers for Olivia. "Her LONG ROAD of recovery, both physical and emotional will be a marathon. As a family, we are experiencing the joy of seeing her smile again while trying to confront the trauma and pain we all have from this attack," the GoFundMe said. Anyone still looking for a way to support those affected in the incident were asked to donate to any of the 30 verified fundraisers on Waukesha's centralized hub for victims and their families, according to GoFundMe.
