HAMDEN, CT — Hamden Middle School was put in a "lockout" on Tuesday morning due to a threat that officials said was not credible, according to the New Haven Register.
The Register reported school officials were notified around 7:45 a.m. of a social media threat made against Hamden Middle School and other area schools. No one is allowed inside or outside a building during a lockout.
Eli Whitney Technical High School was placed in a lockdown on Tuesday for the second day in a row due to a possible threat, according to multiple reports, including WTNH News 8.
Connecticut State Police have responded to Eli Whitney and are assisting Hamden police, according to WTNH.
Hamden High School has been closed since Friday due to threats and is scheduled to reopen on Wednesday.
