HAMDEN, CT — Hamden Middle School was put in a "lockout" on Tuesday morning due to a threat that officials said was not credible, according to the New Haven Register. The Register reported school officials were notified around 7:45 a.m. of a social media threat made against Hamden Middle School and other area schools. No one is allowed inside or outside a building during a lockout. Eli Whitney Technical High School was placed in a lockdown on Tuesday for the second day in a row due to a possible threat, according to multiple reports, including WTNH News 8. Connecticut State Police have responded to Eli Whitney and are assisting Hamden police, according to WTNH.
