Press release from Kendall County Sheriff's Office: 12/06/2021 4:00 PM FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Fugitive Apprehended in Newark Fugitive Apprehended in Newark   Kendall County, IL (December 6, 2021, 4:15 PM) A male has been taken into custody in Newark, IL, after being featured on the Kendall County Sheriff's Office "Fugitive Friday" Facebook post last week. Twenty-Six-year-old James Dowling of Newark is facing multiple charges out of Kendall County. On December 3rd, 2021 at approximately 12:40 PM, Dowling, of the 15000 block of Lisbon Center Road in Newark, Illinois, was apprehended by Kendall County Sheriff's Office deputies. Dowling was being sought by Kendall County on three counts of unlawful delivery of cannabis (class 4 felony), one count of unlawful delivery of a controlled substance (class 1 felony), and one count of unlawful possession of a controlled substance (class 4 felony).  Dowling was transported to the Kendall County Jail and has since been released after posting bond which was set at $50,000/10%. The Kendall County Sheriff's Office would like to remind citizens to call Crime Stoppers at 630-553-5999 to report any information regarding a fugitive's whereabouts. Callers remain anonymous and may be eligible for a reward if the information leads to the apprehension of a fugitive.
