Press release from the City of Hillsboro: December 6, 2021 Lightopia – An Illuminated Journey We invite you to take a drive through a glimmering winter landscape this holiday season. Open December 9 through December 31, 2021 Closed on Christmas Day Reservations Free - Reservations will open December 1 on the Lightopia Eventbrite webpage. Reservation spots will be released for each week ahead on Wednesdays. Location Gordon Faber Recreation Complex (Hillsboro Stadium) 4450 NE Century Blvd. Hillsboro, OR 97124 The Gordon Faber Recreation Complex is located near Hwy 26 between Cornelius Pass Road and Brookwood Parkway. Questions? Email our Special Events Team or call 503-681-6120. Lightopia – An Illuminated Journey is an award-winning drive-through light show at Gordon Faber Recreation Complex. This attraction features an astounding number of lights and includes seasonal light vignettes ranging from funny to dazzling. Enjoy a leisurely drive through the brilliant display, which expands to a half-mile this year. Lightopia will delight folks young and old. Your passage will last 15 to 20 minutes. Reservation Release Schedule December 1 at 9 am: Reservations for December 9 through 14 will open December 8 at 1 pm: Reservations for December 15 through 21 will open December 15 at 6 pm: Reservations for December 22 through 31 will open Reserve your tickets on the Lightopia Eventbrite webpage. Tour Details and Guidelines Arrival and Tour Length Tours start on the 30-minute mark each half-hour: 5:30 pm, 6 pm, 6:30 pm, 7 pm, 7:30 pm, 8 pm, and 8:30 pm. On Fridays and Saturdays, we'll also have tours at 9 pm and 9:30 pm Each drive-through tour session will last up to 20 minutes. Please arrive between 15 minutes prior to your tour, but no earlier than 30 minutes before start time. Example: for a 5:30 pm tour, please arrive between 5 and 5:30 pm. Guidelines A limit of 150 vehicles will be allowed per 30-minute time slot. Event is automobile drive-through only. No pedestrian traffic, bicycles, or motorcycles, please. One reservation per vehicle, per household. Each vehicle must make a separate reservation. Masks are required when outside of vehicles for all attendees age 5 and above, and strongly encouraged for ages 2 to 4. Optional: Bring an unwrapped toy for the Hillsboro Firefighters Toy & Joy Drive or a non-perishable, unexpired food item for Hillsboro School District's Food Pantry.
