Description
Living in an unharried, natural way that’s harmonious with their and the group’s needs?
In the last few weeks, we’ve:
-Worked through simple and complex social issues presented by group members and neighbors,
-Watched Wildcat Creek fill with muddy, rushing water, then turn into a clear, lower stream,
-Kept an eye out for migrating and breeding newts,
-Sat still as grazing cows edged ever closer to us, and watched calves suckle from their mothers’ teats,
-Learned about Fall by living it: surrounded by leaves falling with the breeze, crunching underfoot, and being exposed to a multitude of colors and textures,
-Been learning how to budget based on using a shared camera for documentation but needing to conserve photo and video space and battery life,
-Hiked to new areas,
-And lived a rich experience not possible within a traditional classroom.
We are striving toward a more sustainable future!
