Eagan Affinity Plus To Participate In 'Coins For A Cause'

EAGAN, MN — Eagan's Affinity Plus Federal Credit Union is participating in the annual "Coins for a Cause" fundraising event, in which residents donate their spare change to support local food banks. The credit union said it is teaming up with Fox 9 and MN food banks for this event. On Friday, Affinity Plus said it will host an in-person donation event. Participants will be able to drive up between 11 a.m. and 4 p.m. and donate their spare change, the credit union said. The first 50 donors will receive a holiday gift bag, Affinity Plus said. Additionally, Affinity Plus said it is collecting change until Thursday and matching a grand total of $25,000 in donations for food banks across the state. Donations will go to Second Harvest Heartland, or a local Feeding America food bank, Affinity Plus said.
