Press release from the Shelton State Community College: December 6, 2021 December 6, 2021 – The Alabama Automotive Manufacturers Association (AAMA) and Alabama Community College System (ACCS) have partnered to provide scholarships, as well as mentors, to students who want to pursue a technical education certificate or associate degree in the automotive manufacturing industry. The scholarship program was designed to build interest in the exciting and rewarding careers the automotive industry offers. Applicants must use the scholarship toward one of the 15 following declared majors of study or another automotive-related program: Advanced Manufacturing Technology; Auto Service/Autobody Repair Technology; Automotive Manufacturing Technology; Automotive Service Technology; Computer Numerical Control; Electrical Technology; Engineering Technology; Industrial Electronics Technology; Industrial Maintenance Technology/AMT/Industrial Systems; Injection Molding; Logistics; Machine Shop/Tool Technology; Mechanical Design Technology; Mechatronics; or Welding Technology.
