Car Wash Attendant – Customer Service & Facility Maintenance Mountain View Car Wash Inc. is looking for an attendant for morning shift and for a couple evening shifts per week Mountain View Car Wash is a self service car wash located in Mountain View. We are a family run business that provides a clean facility with quality, well maintained equipment, and the attendant's job is to help us provide this. The job involves a lot of interaction with customers – directing traffic and instructing them on proper use of the services, helping out with any problems, and dealing with those that are not following facility rules, and all this must be done in a professional manner. The attendant keeps the facility clean - including washing down bays, sweeping, emptying trash cans, and, in the winter, snow & ice removal. The attendant also keeps an eye out for any mechanical problems at the facility, performs routine equipment inspections & regular maintenance and repairs, and performs other tasks in support of the business and surrounding properties. These tasks are frequently performed simultaneously so the ability to multitask is a must. - Applicants need to be able to provide their own transportation to work and to show up on time. A valid driver’s license is REQUIRED. - Applicants should be able to communicate with customers in a positive and professional manner. - Applicant needs to be physically capable of performing the job – shoveling / sweeping, lifting heavier items, etc. - The ability to follow instructions is a must, as well as the ability to use and follow checklists. - Mechanical or maintenance skills are also a plus, as well as the ability to operate a scissor-lift, front-end loader, parking lot sweeper, and plow truck. - This is a part time position requiring work in mornings & evenings Typical hours are from 8am to 2pm or 2pm to 9pm. Actual hours depend on business levels and the attendants ability to perform additional tasks. - Applicant may be required to pass a drug test. Base pay rate is $14 - $18 per hour and will be determined at time if hire with rate increases or bonuses based on demonstrated ability to perform the job.
