This position involves a mix of physical labor, customer service, equipment operation, computer use, and general facility maintenance. Job highlights include:
• $15.04 to $17.87 per hour starting wage

• Paid on the job training, including equipment operation, HAZWOPER, First Aid/CPR, Flagger, scale programs and many other skills
• Year round physical labor – get paid to walk miles a day
• Day shift only, work between 8:00 am – 5 pm. Locations vary within the Solid Waste Department
• Daily variety of job tasks – each day will likely have a different task assigned
• Ability to interact with an variety of people

Qualifications Required
• High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
• Possession of valid driver’s license and ability to obtain a CDL driver’s license AND be insurable
• Reliable personal transportation to commute to any of the designated Solid Waste sites
• Ability to work in all weather conditions
• Willingness to learn new skills and obtain necessary certifications within designated time frames
