Job description U.S. Linen and Uniform is looking for a new team member to join us at our Hillsboro, OR branch. This is a Full-Time position that works Monday - Thursday and starts at 5:00 am in the morning and generally works +/- 10 hours per day depending on production needs. Position is responsible for the accurate processing of laundry and mats including using the correct formulas, machines and water temperature to ensure sanitary, high quality cleaning of our products and our customers items. Sorting of laundry by type or customer. Other duties on the production floor may be assigned. May help load or unload trucks. Complete understanding of the washing and drying process to ensure product can get out to customers based on set delivery days and times. * Work is repetitive and production oriented, so fast pace is essential. * Maintain safety awareness and follows all safety procedures throughout the warehouse and with the machines. * Must be focused and attentive to details. * Position is very physical, must be able to stand, walk, stoop, crouch, turn, push, pull, bend and reach for and lift items constantly during a 10 hour shift. There is repeated lifting of up to 40lbs. * Non climate controlled warehouse environment. * Must be flexible in work environment, moving from one task to another assisting in folding, packaging as needed. * Must have basic Math skills and good verbal skills. * Visual acuity is necessary to detect imperfections in linens and garments and machine discrepancies. * Must be reliable in reporting on time to work each day. * Previous laundry experience is helpful, but not required. We will train the right person.
