We are a family with two older children looking for a younger dog that will be under 25lbs. We are looking for something with short hair and a dog that can be active. We take a lot of hikes and walks and the animal would need to be able to go 3-4 miles. The animal we bring into our home will not lack attention or trainin. We have been looking at jack russells, aussies, beagles etc but it does not need to be a pure bred by any stretch. We prefer to find something that may need to find a home instead of going to the pound. We would like to keep the price under $350, but are somewhat flexible.
