We are seeking part-time Weekend Maintenance/Groundkeepers to join our team! JOB DETAILS ● Salary: $16-$18 an hour ● IMMEDIATE START ● Job Type: Part-time ● Location: Huntington Beach QUALIFICATIONS ● Athletic field maintenance experience (preferred) ● Knowledge of baseball/softball field prep equipment (preferred) ● Ability to work as a team (required) ● Follow all safety and personnel rules, policies and regulations (required) ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES ● Prepare athletic fields (e.g. drag/layout/line fields, repairing rodent damage, divots, etc.) for the purpose of providing adequate, attractive and safe areas for recreational activities and/or athletic events. Including practices and games. ● Ability to operate all necessary equipment pertaining to athletic field maintenance. ● Safely operate HBSC owned vehicles and equipment. ● Flexibility to work midday or evening weekend hours. ● Perform other duties as assigned or requested. JOB REQUIREMENTS ● Be dependable ● Be flexible and reliable with the ability to communicate effectively. ● Must be available to work weekend evenings/nights. ● Basic knowledge of grounds maintenance, landscape installation, tree maintenance, safety inspections, and baseball diamond preparation ● Ability to perform physical labor, bending, and squatting ● Ability to lift, carry, and push tools, equipment, and supplies weighing 50 pounds or more ● Ability to work outdoors and in inclement weather ● Ability to follow proper safety protocol and pay strict attention to safety at all times. ● Strong communication skills and the ability to communicate professionally and tactfully with members of the public ● Strong work ethic and the ability to work independently and as part of a team Regular Schedule: 2-3 days per week, 10-25 hrs/week Friday, Saturday and/or Sunday days or evenings based on the event schedule at the HB Sports Complex Extended hours available during the summer months and midweek hours may be available as necessary to support events.
