I came home today to a dead hawk. My husky was guarding it proudly. Later on, one of my cats came inside with some wounds. Has anyone else encountered this? It seems like the hawk tried to capture my cat and the husky protected her. I'm worried about my cat though. She won't let me look closely at the wound and it smells horrible. Is there a smell that hawks emit onto their pray or is it just the wound smelling bad? Thank you. I'm looking into how to keep hawks away and read scarecrows and owl decoys..
