Join us at Black Market Ky for shopping and wreath making. This epic community justice collaboration brings together Black Market KY, Fall City Community Bikeworks and Louisville Community Grocery for the first time ever. We will be making holiday wreaths on location at Black Market KY to share in the holiday spirit and support this black owned, independent grocery store in West Louisville. Your $20 contribution allows you to make and take a wreath. Additionally you may purchase additional wreath vouchers to allow others to make and take a wreath. All proceeds benefit the organizations involved. Black Market will be open and operating selling an assortment of grocery goods sourced from black and local food producers. Black Market is on the front lines in the fight against Food Apartheid. Every dollar spent here helps sustain their efforts. Falls City Community Bikeworks mission is to provide the space, tools and expertise to any community members wishing to learn and practice bicycle maintenance. Additionally they channel the donation of refurbished bicycles and equipment to community members in need of reliable transportation. The Louisville Community Grocery is committed to building a cooperatively-owned grocery store that supports the local economy by providing healthy, affordable food through just and equitable practices, employment, and ownership.
