Different topics will be presented each night. Please plan to attend all four nights. Learn how to keep and manage honey bees, equipment needed for beekeeping, where to purchase honey bees and diseases facing the beekeeping industry. Cost of the class includes 1 year membership to the Beekeepers of the Albemarle and NC State Beekeepers Association. Recommended text includes Beekeeping for Dummies. This is a self purchase book if desired. Other litertature is useful, but not required to purchase. You will have plenty of opportunity to take notes while during presentations. Classes will be presented by Master Beekeepers and other seasoned beekeepers. This is a small setting with plenty of educational interaction.
