Authors of the newly released book by Con Todo Press: Courageous Camila -A Story About Finding Your Inner Warrior will be in-store for a read-aloud, meet & greet, and book signing! Courageous Camila will help families & young children who have always been curious about martial arts or any other sport. Readers will be inspired & motivated to start their own journey! Our children learn subjects like math, writing, and history in school, but this book provides a map on a critical skill that is not typically taught in the classroom: Courage. Readers will follow Camila's journey to finding her "inner warrior," as she faces challenges like trying a new sport, overcoming obstacles and believing in herself. CON TODO PRESS is a boutique children’s book publishing company based in Los Angeles. As a Latina-owned and founded company, they firmly believe that representation matters in all aspects of a young girl’s life, and there should be more Latinx and BIPOC communities represented in sports, especially more girls. NAIBE REYNOSO - FOUNDER OF CON TODO PRESS AND CO-AUTHOR As the mother of a D1 lacrosse player, Naibe Reynoso has gained a first -hand perspective of the importance of young girls being represented and encouraged to pursue sports. Through her daughter’s recruitment process, Naibe Reynoso has valued the time and effort that goes into investing in girls’ athletics. She has a passion to help increase diversity in sports and encourage girls to pursue sports at an early age. GISELLE CARRILLO - CO-AUTHOR Giselle Carrillo is founder of El Barrio Athletic Club, a movement that encourages diverse communities to learn and practice a variety of sports including Jiu Jitsu, skateboarding and more. Through her project “Courage Camps” she also provides free surf lessons to children from East LA where access to surfing and access to health does not exist.
