A basketball legend from Fall River, Massachusetts, Chris was a McDonald's All-American who broke scoring records and was recruited by the nation's top colleges. He also realized his lifelong dream of playing in the NBA after being drafted by the Denver Nuggets in 1999 and later playing for his hometown team, the Boston Celtics, before losing his career and nearly his family to the disease of addiction. Currently in long-term recovery, Chris has spoken to millions of students, athletes, and community members across the country, seeking to inspire people to engage in a candid conversation about addressing the disease of addiction through prevention, recovery, wellness, and faith. This event is free and open to the public.
