'Tis the season to give back! Join us in the La Mesa Garden as we make sack lunches to serve to folks in need of a meal this Christmas. Please join us on 12/20 for Sack Lunch SEVA (the Sanskrit word for selfless service). Bring your family! Who: You! This is a family friendly event; child participation is welcomed and encouraged! When: Monday 12/20 10am-1pm Part one: From10am-11:30am, we will be making and packing lunches in the La Mesa Garden.Part two: From 11:30am-1pm, we will carpool to downtown San Diego to distribute lunches to those experiencing homelessness. We will be walking through the neighborhood around Father Joe's Villages and distributing to anyone in need along the way.What to bring (per person): 2 loaves of bread 1 jar of nut butter 1 jar of jelly 1 bag cuties or baby carrots For an extra touch of love, we will be making Christmas cookies to add to each lunch as well. We will have some holiday treats and some festive music to enjoy while we make lunches and spend some time in community. We hope you'll consider joining us .
