TAMPA, FL — Tampa Fire Rescue's Hazardous Incidents Team was called to the Selmon Expressway after 100 gallons of jet fuel leaked from a tanker truck.
The fuel spill occurred just after 10 a.m. Friday, shutting down the expressway.
The driver pulled over to the shoulder after noticing the leak and called 911. The Hazardous Incidents Team placed absorbent clay granules along the expressway to soak up the fuel and was prepared to use foam in case a fire started.
There were no injuries.
