Description
SALEM, MA — North Shore residents looking for a coronavirus test the weekend before Christmas will have an additional few hours to do so at the free "Stop the Spread" site at Salem High School.
The drive-thru site at Salem High School will be open from 1 to 6 p.m. on that day only because of a site conflict with a recycling event. On Dec. 11, testing at the Salem High site will be in the normal 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. window.
Testing demand is expected to rise ahead of the holidays amid a surge in coronavirus cases on the North Shore.
Weekday drive-thru test is held each day from 4 to 8 p.m. at Salem High. Walk-in testing is available at the St. Peter's Church in Salem Mondays through Thursday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. and Fridays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Curative is also conducting mobile testing at Riley Plaza Mondays through Saturdays from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
All tests as the PCR nasal swab test with results emailed within 24 to 48 hours. The Riley Plaza site is a self-administered test.
