Description
PUYALLUP, WA — It's about to get a lot more convenient to get tested for COVID-19 in the Puyallup area.
The Tacoma-Pierce County Health Department confirms that it will be opening a new drive-thru COVID-19 testing site Wednesday in Puyallup. The testing site will be set up next to the Wilco Farm Store at 10417 Canyon Rd E, the agency said.
As with other TPCHD clinics and events, the testing site will be free, and does not require insurance or an appointment. The site will offer both rapid tests, which offer results within the hour, or PCR tests, which can take between 24 and 48 hours to provide results.
Though the site does not open until Wednesday, anyone interested in visiting can pre-register for testing online.
The Tacoma-Pierce County Health Department recommends COVID-19 testing for anyone who has COVID-like symptoms or who has recently been exposed to COVID-19. More testing events and opportunities can be found on TPCHD's website.
