PATERSON, NJ — A Farmingdale man accused of kidnapping and sexually assaulting a New Jersey girl has been arrested, the Passaic County Prosecutor's Office said this week. Floiran Langumas-Montero, 24, went from Long Island to Paterson, New Jersey, at midnight on Oct. 29, to pick up a 13-year-old girl he had been communicating online with for months, prosecutors said. He took her to a remote location and engaged in sexual intercourse with her, officials said. Langumas-Montero was arrested on Thursday and charged with one count of first-degree kidnapping, one count of second-degree luring, one count of second-degree sexual assault and one count of third-degree endangering the welfare of a child via sexual contact. He is detained in the Passaic County Jail. He's scheduled before a Superior Court judge for 9 a.m. Tuesday. If convicted, Langumas-Montero faces a lengthy prison sentence. First-degree kidnapping alone carries 25 years to life in prison, with 25 years to be served before parole eligibility. The Passaic County Prosecutor's Office asked anyone with more information about the incident or other potential incidents regarding Langumas-Montero to call its tips line at 1-877-370-PCPO. Patch's Josh Bakan contributed to this report.
