BEVERLY, MA —A group of young teens ran from house to house trying to kick in doors on Broughton Drive during a vandalism spree Thursday night, according to Beverly police. Police said a 13-year-old boy was summoned on three counts of malicious destruction of property after residents said they saw the group of six juveniles fleeing from the houses after the ruckus. Beverly police said they responded to multiple reports of vandalism in the area after residents called saying someone was trying to break down their doors and they found damage to outside doors and door frames. Police said the juveniles were tracked a short distance to Otis Road with the help of one resident's Ring doorbell footage. Police said the 13-year-old was identified as the boy who committed the vandalism. All of the youths were taken to the Beverly police station where their parents were called and they were released into their custody.
