LOUDOUN COUNTY, VA — A driver struck a pedestrian in a Sterling parking lot on Friday, and was then the victim of a crime, according to a report from the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office. Police said soon after the accident, another man assaulted the driver, demanded money from him, and stole his car.
A man told authorities he struck a pedestrian while he was turning out of a parking lot in the 45600 block of Falke Plaza on Friday.
Later, a man who knew the pedestrian arrived at the accident site, and assaulted the driver who struck the pedestrian.The attacker demanded money from the driver, but as the driver walked toward an ATM, a man got in his vehicle and drove away, according to the police report.
Authorities said they found the vehicle nearby with several items missing. Both the pedestrian and the complainant declined medical treatment at the scene.
Luis E. Tiz Doris, a 28-year-old man from Massachusetts, was charged with assault and larceny unauthorized use of a vehicle. He is being held without bond at the Loudoun County Adult Detention Center.
