Here are the top stories in Burlington today: Burlington School District (BSD) is inviting students, staff, family members, and members of the greater Burlington community to apply to be a member of BSD's LGBTQ+ Task Force. The group will meet biweekly beginning in January 2022 to better understand the District's strengths and areas for improvement in supporting the LGBTQ+ community, and create and implement a set of recommendations that will inform actions in the District's new strategic plan. (Vermont Biz)The Vermont Office of Professional Regulation has revoked the license of a longtime dentist from South Burlington for unauthorized prescribing of controlled substances. Records show that Dr. Randall Miller prescribed controlled substances to patients for several years without signing up for the state program that would authorize him to do so. Most of the patients for whom Miller wrote the prescriptions had no documentation in their dental records of a medical need for the prescriptions. (Local 22/44 News)Burlington firefighters responded to a blaze on Eastman Farm Road that killed one dog.
