POINT PLEASANT, NJ - A Point Pleasant Beach McDonald's is damaged after a driver crashed into it early Saturday morning, numerous sources report.
A 49-year-old man veered off Rt. 35 and crashed into a McDonald's at the corner of Ocean Road at around 12:22 a.m., Point Pleasant Beach Police St. Gary Siculietano told the Star News. Siculetano and Ocean County Scanner News both reported a giant hole in the side of the restaurant and broken glass.
Rescue crews and building instructors arrived to assess the damage to the building, according to the scanner. Structural engineers deemed the building structurally sound, and no injuries were reported.
The driver, whose identity has not been released, was arrested on suspicion of Driving While Intoxicated, according to the Star News.
