Hey, New Orleans! It's Tuesday, so let's get you started with everything you need to know going on in town today. First, today's weather: It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas! High today of 60 and low of 56. Here are the top stories in New Orleans today: New Orleans voters are considering property taxes for libraries and housing on Saturday. The library tax will cost $25.80 for every 100,000 of homeowner property value and the housing tax will cost $9.10 per 100,000. (WDSU New Orleans) As plans are underway for increased police patrols in the French Quarter, some residents worry that it will affect French Quarter culture, while others hope it will revive the tourism that suffered over the pandemic. (WDSU New Orleans) At least 30 residents of an Algiers apartment complex are displaced from a large fire last week, but luckily no one was injured.
