Here are the top stories in Austin today: The Austin Police Department said one of its longtime officers, Eric Lindsey, died on Monday. Police were unable to confirm if Lindsey's death was related to COVID-19. (KVUE.com) Grammy-nominated Olivia Rodrigo will make a stop in the Live Music Capital of the World for her "Sour" tour in 2022. (Austin Patch) The Department of Justice is suing Texas over its new redistricting maps, citing the plans discriminate against voters in the state's booming Latino and Black populations. (Austin Patch) Officials in Austin and San Antonio say they are in a better position to handle a severe crisis like February's winter storm than they were before — but big gaps in their preparation remain and won't be closed until after the upcoming winter. (KTRK-TV)The Travis County Medical Examiner's Office has ruled the death of an elderly Austin woman a homicide after she died over the summer at a local care facility.
