We have semi-feral cats available now as "working cats" to chase mice and rats away from your working space. If you run a shop, brewery, storeroom, warehouse, you know you need mousers! Mouser cats are a natural, organic rodent control method that will spare you the need to use poisons for your mouse and rat problem. We have already placed several cats as successful mousers in shops, breweries and some restaurants. After the initial rodent hunting, they will deter and scare rodents away, as much as killing them. We do prefer placements in or near Seattle. These cats and older kittens have been deemed not adoptable as house pets at shelters, because they are too feral or semi-feral--meaning not socialized toward humans early enough in their lives--and not particularly wanting to be touched by people. You will be giving them a second chance. These cats are typically shy, rather than forwardly fractious or aggressive. Some of them may be more inclined to tame up than others, or may become more tame and interactive with you as time goes on--if you wish to work with them. In any case, you will be saving their lives by providing them a home. The cats will be already spayed and neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and healthy before they are brought to you. You may make a donation for this service, but it is not required. The cats will be delivered to you, and set up for initial acclimation to your space. You will be asked to commit to provide the following: 1. Daily cat food and fresh water 2. Safe, warm shelter 3. Vet care, as needed 4. Registration of their microchips 5. Humane treatment After a period of confinement within your brewery, the cats will be allowed to roam free inside. We recommend confinement for about 3 weeks, before the cats can be allowed to roam free. The space of confinement must be humane and escape-proof. We can help provide a cage or pen for them, if necessary. The number of cats delivered to you can be negotiated, depending on your needs and circumstances. We have singles, as well as bonded pairs or groups who have lived together in a colony. We do insist upon delivering and setting up the cats, rather than having you pick them up yourself.
