ROMEOVILLE, IL — Jimmy John's is proposing a new location in Romeoville. According to the Village, the popular sandwich shop development would include a stand-alone store on the vacant lot south of Burger King at Romeo Plaza on Route 53.
The building would be 1,200 square feet with a drive-thru, the village said.
Once the project is approved, construction would start in the spring with a late summer opening, according to the Village.
The project will be before the planning commission on Dec. 14 and then the village board on Dec. 15, Village Administrator Dawn Caldwell said.
Jimmy John's operates several stores in the Chicago area, including one on Weber Road in Romeoville, and in nearby Joliet, Plainfield, Bolingbrook and Lemont.
