BRISTOL, PA — A student from Bristol Borough High School has been taken into custody after making school shooting threats.
According to Levittown Now, authorities were made aware of the situation by a Safe2Say tip that was sent around 10 p.m. on Sunday night.
"Shortly after 1 a.m., with assistance from the Bucks County District Attorney's Office and the Bucks County Juvenile Probation Department, Bristol Borough police arrested the student and transported him to the juvenile detention center," said Sgt. Joe Moors.
When taken into custody, the student had no weapons, but had made specific threats to shoot up the school.
The teenager was charged with terroristic threats and disorderly conduct in the juvenile court system.
As a result of the situation, the high school was closed on Monday, Dec. 6.
