Poets/vocalists needed at Art Compost

Every Sunday from 6pm to 8pm Art Compost gets together at the Mercury Cafe for live improvisational music and poetry. Sadly, the audience is small and not a lot of poets have the courage to stand up there and read with the free live backup band, especially during the earlier part of the performance. You don't have to write your own words, you can just come with a poem or song lyrics you already enjoy. The band is super accomodating of different styles, but for mosy people it's easiest to just get up there and read kind of flatly. Their performances are recorded on fb live if you wanna check it out before you try it. I've been going consistly for a few months and feel more confident and thrilled every time I get to go up and read my stuff and wanna encourage other community memebers to show up.
