HAYWARD, CA — Three East Bay residents were arrested last week on suspicion of an armed robbery at a 7-Eleven in Redwood City, according to the Redwood City Police Department.
The suspects — 24-year-old Jylyn Richardson Green from Pittsburg, 19-year-old Deshawn Carter from Hayward and a 15-year-old boy from Hayward — were arrested after attempting to flee the store at 460 Woodside Road just after 2 a.m. on Dec. 1, police said.
Their vehicle crashed near the Marsh Road exit on southbound U.S. Highway 101 and the suspects sustained minor injuries.
Police recovered a loaded 9mm handgun and several hundred dollars in cash at the scene of the crash, and they believe the money was taken in the robbery.
