Hello My name is Ms. Jacquelin Wilhite. I'm running as a candidate for Rio Rancho mayor in March of 2022. I have lived in Rio Rancho since 1991 and graduated in the first senior class at Rio Rancho High School in 1999. Before attending Rio Rancho High School I attended Del Norte. I spent a lot of time since graduating high school living in a couple different states in the US and even spent a couple years abroad. I'm especially interested in projects 1. establish speedy trials in the courts and fair treatment and accountability within the police department. 2. establish better Public transportation in Rio Rancho. 3. improving healthcare, 4. making sure that our seniors and oldest residents are respected and happy, 5. beautifying a few of our oldest, most established neighborhoods, and 6. replacing County and city employees who have reached the age of retirement. I'm interested in education and healthcare as well as law enforcement. I adhere to such values as holding people accountable. I also want to support the community's young leaders and help place younger people in positions. Today, I'm 41 years old. I have a committed and supportive fiance who serves overseas in the ministry and we plan to start a small family over the next five years before hopefully leaving the state of New Mexico and pursue other political interests. I see running for mayor as a way to give back to the community in which I grew up and learned as well as at a start in a political career.
