Small Growing Property Management Firm Located outside of Portland is looking for experienced Handy Man/Maintenance Tech with senior handyman skills to help maintain apartments, and some single-family homes and grounds of various properties. Position is part-time with full time potential. Van, Fuel and some tools provided. If you have tools and Pickup Truck milage reimbursement available. This could be a great opportunity to supplement your other work as a contractor. JOB DUTIES: -Oversee & perform property maintenance. Maintain structures and common areas of all buildings, complete all work assigned in a timely, professional manner. -Provide prompt and courteous service for all resident requests, with the help of office management. -Oversee, maintain, and repair all heating systems and boilers and monitors using vendors when needed -Oversee, maintain, and repair appliances and general plumbing using vendors when needed. -Perform a wide variety of general carpentry repairs including painting interior and exterior walls, ceilings, and cabinets, bathrooms where needed -Oversee all work being performed by outside contractors. -Oversee move, load & unloading/storing supplies, and site-specific duties as necessary. -Oversee, manage landscaping, trash, snow removal vendors with property manager -Find cost effective ways to fix things properly and help company save on maintenance expenses -On-call emergency incentives available. Qualifications, Skills & Experience Needed: -High School diploma or GED Needed -Valid drivers license and reliable transportation and some tools -Prior Electrical or plumbing experience needed. License in a field a Plus and potential qualifying bonus -Prior Carpentry, Sheet-rocking, kitchen and bath install and flooring experience needed. -Painting and landscaping a plus -Strong communication skills and attention to detail -Strong time management and ability to hit deadlines -Strong appliance repair capabilities -Pass a background check -Budgeting and cost-cutting knowledge a plus -Min 1 year experience needed with all the above
