I have a beautiful female catahoula mix puppy about 7 months old who needs a forever home. I broke her out of a humane society a couple of months ago because she wasn't doing well in there and was skinny as a rail. Now two months later she's filled out and here's what I know about her and what you can know about her to see if she fits your lifestyle.. She's very well behaved and has excellent manners. She learns very quickly. She doesn't chew up anything even though shes still in her puppy stage. Shes house broken and will let you know when she needs to go. She will talk to you and bark for any treats or her food. Shes sits, shakes, gives high fives, fetches and is an excellent watch dog as most catahoulas are. She is crazy about playing in water. Doesn't matter if it's the water hose or the river she loves it. She loves to fetch toys when I throw them in the river and she's an excellent swimmer. She'll also ride on your kayak or paddle board with you. She has gone jogging with me a couple of times and she will make a good jogging companion if that's your thing. She also loves riding around our property in the back of the truck and she is very well behaved on roadtrips and sits on her seat sometimes even falls asleep. Compared to most catahoulas she's more on the laid back side and I wouldn't classify her as a high energy dog that needs the constant attention that most catahoulas do. She'll go lay down on her bed and chill or nap on command. All this being said she'll be better off with someone who is on the active side and has a backyard with some room for her to run a bit. She won't do good in an appartment or small back yards in modern subdivisions. If your looking for a side kick to be by your side on your farm/ranch she'd fit right in. When she walks with me on our property she stays very close and has an excellent call back. If you have any more questions about her let me know. Asking $150 rehoming fee. Shes fixed, has all of her shots, is chipped and she just had a check up at our vet a week ago and they said she's perfectly healthy. Not sure how she is around kids or cats but she adapts well and is highly trainable. She does get along with my female aussie and she doesn't bother my little dog either.
