Lead Dance Floor Installer Needed
Jobs
Seattle WA
Description
My business is the foremost (and only) portable dance floor rental company in the Puget Sound region. I install dance floors large and small at public and private venues throughout the area, from backyard parties to corporate events for Google and Microsoft. The work involves loading, transporting, unloading, installing, finishing, cleaning, and picking up the dance floors, which come in 3' by 3' panels. As a lead, you would be independently responsible for driving to the event site, completing the whole installation process with a high degree of attention to detail and safety, and professionally interacting with clients and others at the event site. The business is seasonal with intense periods during the summer months when we might work full time (or more) every weekend for a month. The rest of the year, you should expect to work 4-8 half days per month on average, but it's really quite variable, especially with the ongoing pandemic. Jobs are typically on weekends, but can spill into Monday and Friday. There can by late night pickups as well from time to time, so it's perfect for those with a flexible scheduled. For the right person, and if you want the maximum possible hours, I would commit to scheduling you for all the available floors, but it would still be a part time job for sure. No experience necessary. Training will be provided. Pay will be $30/hr once you're trained and I'm confident you can work independently and effectively. Pay during training will be $25/hour, and could start as early as this Wednesday, December 8th, with additional work and training on the 9th-12th. The work is physically demanding, so you must be able to: Lift and carefully maneuver dance floor panels weighing up to 50 lbs; Safely push carts weighing up to 750 lbs; Bend and kneel to spot clean floors; Follow directions and safety standards; Use simple tools; Other requirements include: Arriving in South Park reliably and on time; Communicating well, responsively, and professionally by phone, text, and email; Abiding by high standards of integrity and honesty; Being available for work without a regular schedule, sometimes on short notice, and late at night; Being a licensed driver; Having auto insurance and a clean driving record; Being fully vaccinated against Covid-19. Please send me an email elaborating on your qualifications and telling me why you'd be a good fit, and we can take it from there. Thanks! And of course, I abide by the WLAD, Title VII, etc., and do no discriminate on the basis of any protected classifications. If you think you'd be a good fit, I want to hear from you!
