I'm a 30 year old songwriter and performer. I recently moved from the UK, and had to leave my band behind, so I'm forming a new one. I'm currently based a little outside of Boston. I like to write noisy, energetic, slightly off-kilter, highly melodic, moody, jazzy indie rock, with complex song structures and weird chords. My current influences are Pixies, Cymbals Eat Guitars, Blur, My Bloody Valentine, Andy Shauf, QOTSA, Tame Impala and Chet Baker. My aim is to find creative, competent, disciplined musicians who are prepared to build a band from the ground up, with an eye to ultimately writing a great record, playing shows regularly and seeing what we can make of it. I'm currently working with a fantastic bassist, and we're looking for a lead guitarist to join us. Looking for someone who is confident writing their own parts, is comfortable playing songs with complex chord-work, has melodic style and left-field influences. Really important that you have your own equipment, are able to commit to weekly rehearsals in Boston, and eventually prepared to gig, record, and take this project seriously!
