Saturday, Jan 8th and Jan 15th. Our third year in Oklahoma City. Sailing is Fun! the basis of this school is to teach how to handle the most beautiful thing on water; the “wind machine” of boats. We will introduce you to the common things you need to know. This course will include: • Sailing terminology, Ropes and Lines • Outboard & Inboard motor Care • Navigation Rules • Boat docking, mooring • Sailing dynamics and sail trim • Seamanship in bad weather • Man Overboard, Damage control • Anchoring, Wind & Weather • Winches and Rigging Maintenance Classes: Two (2) classes • Part 1 - Saturday, January 8th • Part 2 - Saturday, January 15th. Classes will be held at the Holiday Inn and Suites 6200 North Robinson Ave Oklahoma City, OK Each class meeting will begin Saturday morning at 10 AM, and end at 4:00 PM with one break for lunch. • Drinks and sandwiches are provided at noon. • Each segment of the class will utilize hands-on and video demonstrations. • A binder of the class outline, charts, reference information, and notes will be provided. • At the end of each class will be an exam of the subjects covered. • Includes an on-the-water check out lesson. (March 2022) Cost: $320 for individual student. $80 additional for your sailing partner. This fee must be paid in advance of the first class in January. $50 deposit is required to book the classes. Credit Cards are acceptable.
