Keyboard player, - R. U. wanting to Jam for fun..? in Miami Heights - Near Bridgetown/North Bend/Miamitown. Jamming for fun.. a couple times a month? Our guys are- Bass / Rhythm Guitar / Sax / Mandolin. We are looking for a keyboard to jam with, nothing pro, just playing leisure. Our guys are 50~68 yr olds. Jamming to the Classic rock tunes of 60's - 70's - some 80's etc.. classic rock type songs. We are not into Metal / Punk / etc.. It's very helpful if you're somewhat familiar with popular songs from the 60's, 70's some 80's. We use simple charts, showing just lyrics and chords. So knowledge of that era's music is very helpful. Looking to jam for fun. I live in Miami Heights / North Bend, near Bridgetown / Cleves / Miamitown Oh. area (Off of Shady Lane) SSSSOOOOooo, how about you?? You up for getting together to see how and if we mesh ?? Just some easy laid back tunes... generally just a nice evening of jamming... Come ON OUT and spend some time playing some tunes and visit with others that share your interest.. We play on Monday from 6:30pm till roughly 9:30p, so you have 13 days Off between jams. Monday, I say clearly cause it has been missed from some reading this. Monday might rarely be moved to a another day in that week due to holidays, or I'm busy and can't host that night. If you can not commit to Monday - Twice once a month then this isn't helping either of us. .. Sure, things come up and you have obligations, Yes, do it, we all have had that happen. But there are 4-5 others here that are relying on your participation. So we hope you can make the majority of the jams. Yes, this is 'jamming for fun', but we need someone who will put the effort to show-up. Just like any sports or clubs you would join. .. I'm not asking you to commit to this group Only. I belong to 2 other Jam groups myself. It's just that we are holding a spot in my limited area for you, and it would be nice that you be sincere enough to show. If you're looking to push the group to play out, because you want money, then maybe this is something you would Rather pass by. Not looking for people that want to play out for the almighty dollar, A few backyard cook-out or some party that for known friends is OK. Just a few hours just relaxing @ jamming for the fun of it ! Trying out some tunes, nice evening shared with fellow musicians. We are not pushing to play out. It would take a lot of work to get to that level. PLEASE NOTE: --------------------- We DON'T play LOUD, so if that is a requirement then pass us by. Again, We Won't Play LOUD. A couple guys didn't understand that, and tried to warp the shingles on my house. I Don't do or need drugs and don't wish to jam with players that need to. The House is Smoke free... I have no problem with players that drink responsibly. If you are a perfectionist or very critical of how a song is played, this may not be a good fit. Sure we try to get it right, but we are doing this for fun, so not a lot of work is put into getting it dead on. Sometimes hand grenade close is what we'll settle on. Then we go out and sacrifice a chicken to appease the music gods (BTW, there isn't a chicken to be found within 2 miles of my house now. You may need to bring a few with you). And then we'll move on to butcher another song. hehehe... and there is a lot of charts to butcher through. Since we play thru one and move to the next, we roughly can cover 30~45 songs in an evening. An observation to note. Generally people that live more than 35 minutes away will drop out soon. I say generally because that is true. 95% of those living over 35 minutes are no longer here. I have been doing this Jamming for fun for over 5 years, Believe me that number is very accurate. I am NOT saying you are not welcome outside the 35 minute range, it's just something to consider closely. And if you decide this isn't for you, PLEASE do me the courtesy of emailing me that decision. And now we're done with the serious stuff... so let's get to the fun stuff - JaMmInG ! I've done the "real" world band game, and realize not all players mesh, so no hurt feelings if we aren't compatible. Drop me a line, all you'll lose is your time !! Remember, this is just Jamming for fun, no judging. no auditioning, But Please, NO beginners. As revealed with previous attendees. If you have to look at your fretboard to play, you'll loose where you're at on the charts. And some songs move very fast. Also you don't have to be pro material either. So bring your gear, humor, and enjoyment of music and we'll jam.. I hope this answered the majority of your questions. If not, email me with yours.
