Hey there! We're a progressive metal band that sound like the following bands: Karnivool, Tool, Caligula's Horse, Porcupine Tree/Steven Wilson, Opeth, Skyharbor, The Ocean, Tesseract and others in the same vein. (Note that we're a lot more modern sounding than the Metallica/AliceInChain-style) We're looking to find a Rhythm/2nd guitar player who can learn and complement the current guitar parts,(for about 45-odd minutes of material), and contribute to the songwriting/production process once they're comfortable with the sound and style. Back-up singing is a huge, huge bonus. We tend to be fairly patient teachers/musicians and we are looking for a personality fit rather than pure Steve Vai-levels of talent :) We are a diverse band, and we welcome anyone with good ideas. However we are also folks who have jobs, transportation and decent equipment - and are sober/clean when we jam and perform live. We expect that level of reliability from ourselves and would like that to continue. (We are also aged between 28 and 38 to provide some indication of where we are in life.
