The Custodial Coordinator position is a full time employee role needing to be filled immediately for a large and growing trucking company located near Midway Airport in Bridgeview, IL. We are in the process of completing major renovations and updating to our 25,000 SF building so this role will have the responsibility to maintain the brand new and modern look of our facility. You must have the ability to work independently while performing extensive cleaning and professional custodial duties primarily for the 8,000 SF office space portion of our building. Most importantly, you will create a great place to work, a welcoming environment for our employees and guests, and ensure delivery of a clean, safe workspace. Specific duties of the custodian/janitor position may include but are not limited to: Empty waste baskets and other refuse containers to dispose of trash and recycling materials. Cleans, dusts, and wipe down all types of surfaces and furniture in offices and conference rooms. Service, clean, disinfect restroom and restock toilet paper, soap and paper dispensers. Clean floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming. Will also be asked to disinfect "high-touch" areas of the building and office spaces. Vacuum carpet, spot clean, shampoo and extract on an assigned basis. Clean interior window seals, partitions, and mirrors, using soapy water or other cleaners, sponges, and squeegees. Record supply inventory as directed and inform management when cleaning supplies are low. Notify the manager of supplies and equipment needed for cleaning and maintenance duties. Follow task lists and work independently in an efficient and responsible manner. Other duties and tasks as assigned by manager. Education and Experience: High school or equivalent (Preferred). Basic reading and writing knowledge/skills. Preferred Experience: Custodial Service: A minimum of 1 year. Knowledge of cleaning equipment and chemical usages for different janitorial duties. Time management and multitasking abilities. Organizational skills. Good verbal communication, English speaking and understanding. Ability to work with minimal supervision. Schedule and Expectations: 8-hour shift Monday to Friday with potential overtime when needed. Flexible schedule and perform other related duties as assigned. Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time. Ability to lift and move over 30 lbs. Professional and courteous attitude.
