We are looking for a talented Site Lead Operator/Driver to join the TCG team. Job Summary As the Compost Site Lead Operator/Driver you will be responsible for handling all aspects of the composting process from start to finish. From picking up organic matter from local restaurants to processing that material into high quality soil amendments ready for resale. Day to Day Responsibilities: Pick up feedstock from local businesses Ensure all feedstock has been delivered to proper composting site Process new feedstocks and input into vessel Unload compost from vessel Take measurements of composting material: temperature, moisture, humidity, etc. Ensure all bins and batches have been tracked in TCG app Sift compost through trommel and bag for resale Transport finished product to resellers or warehouse Ensure the site is left in a clean and organized manner at the end of each day General Responsibilities: Work with Leadership Team to uncover efficiencies in operations Work with Site Assistants to make sure all work is completed in a safe and timely manner Ensure feedstock is brought in and finished soil are shipped out in a timely manner Work with Leadership team & Biological Lab Assistant to ensure quality of material in and out of the vessel is up to the correct biological standards Necessary Qualifications: Ability to use logistics and mapping applications Experience in or interest in streamlining operations Ability to drive a 14’ Stake Truck Ability to maneuver and roll organics bins weighing up to 200 pounds on rough surfaces Must have driver’s license and clean driving record Must be able to both sit and drive for extended periods of time while maintaining focus and conduct physical labor within the same day Must be willing to get Forklift Certified Must be able to use a pallet jack You will be trained on all equipment and processes upon joining the team - but a willingness to learn and follow procedures is a must Benefits: This is a salary position of $38,000-$40,000/year. After the 90-day period, you will become eligible for a $200/month stipend to go towards health insurance. There is room for growth with the company and correlating salary increases.
