Enjoy the shimmering lights, festive trees & bright garlands in the Ten Broeck Mansion for the holidays. Reserve your time in advance. Make this holiday memorable for you and your family, while practicing safe social distancing. To ensure your safety, reserve your timed admission tickets in advance only, for a richly immersive walk-through experience of the Ten Broeck Mansion, decorated for the holidays. Learn about the history of the Ten Broeck Mansion. Our docents are available to answer your questions about holidays in the past and the history of our community in a socially distanced, walk-through tour experience. Exhibits of artisan-made textiles and crafts using historic techniques, plus a celebration of holidays around the world. Free children's activities & kits: "Indoor Forest" exploration for younger children and "Round the World" for middle school. Timed tickets in advance, only. $5 adults, children free. ACHA members free. Help us decorate! Pick up a free ornament kit for children in advance in our garden kiosk, and bring it to place on a tree in the Ten Broeck Mansion during one of the walk-through tours. Shop local: Pop-up Shop on the Porch- hand-made wreaths, ornaments, and vintage tea cups, books, and locally-made artisanal goods from our museum shop. Admission to porch sale and museum shop: free. All Porch Shop and Walk-through Tour patrons are asked to practice social distancing and wear face masks. Sanitation stations available. Pop-Up Porch Shop hours: Fridays noon-3, Saturdays noon-3, and Sundays noon-3 from December 3-December 19. In cases of bad weather, the pop-up shop will be closed. Select products will be 50% off on on Sunday December 219. Pop-up shop: free admission, no reservations required. Children's Story Hour: Join us outside for photos on the Ten Broeck Mansion porch on Sunday December 12 from noon-2:30 pm and holiday poem readings (we will keep them short if the weather is really cold!). Free, and no reservations needed but individuals will be asked to wait in their vehicles if there is a line. Thank you for understanding. Optional: share with others during this difficult time. The Ten Broeck Mansion is collecting donations of canned food items or boxed food (crackers, pasta, cereal) to be shared with a local food pantry. Please drop off when you visit our Porch Shop.
