First time cat adopter looking to adopt!

34 year old adult male, no kids or other pets (though my gf has a dog who visits and loves cats and sometime in the next couple years we will live together) Caretaker for bed ridden dad, so always home! Rent a condo, but it’s cat friendly and we just need to provide proof of vet care (which we can take care of it needed) We had a cat as a child, she lived for 12 years. I’m not sure where my parents took her to the vet. She was my only pet! I’d love a companion cat, one that likes to snuggle! My gf’s daughter has a senior cat and we visit with once or twice a month and she’s just the best! Kittens or seniors, I love stripped cats, but not a requirement. I can’t offer a vet reference since this is my first pet, but I can offer personal references? Also welcomed to a home visit if need be!
